Passion - The Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ According to St. John with six interpolated poems. Written for the early music ensemble, The Burgundian Cadence, this passion setting has a text adapted from the Gospel of St. John by the composer with six poems from 'The Tranquil Lake of Love' by Carl Cook. Using just four unaccompanied voices, the work encompasses the entire passion story in a dramatic and moving manner. The work was premiered by The Burgundian Cadence in 1999 and performed by them on a tour which included performances in Lincoln Cathedral, Westminster Abbey and Southwark Cathedral. They went on to make a recording of the work (see discography in the Listen section). 'An often beautiful and fascinating work' - Matthew Walker, Musical Opinion
